The owner's manual specifies Champion RC8PYP.
I went to my local Murray's Auto Parts and they don't carry this type of plug. Their Champion catalog lists the following acceptable plugs for the S40 application:
3071 (single platinum)
7071 (double platinum)
9201 (iridium)
I want to use a plug that is as close to OEM as possible - no botique plugs for me.
What type of plug is Champion RC8PYP?... single or double platinum?
Are any of the catalog listings okay?
Re: 02 S40 spark plugs (Kestas)

umm...don't use Champion..they're crap.
Use only OEM plugs. IF you don't want to pay for OEM plugs then get NGK copper plugs.
BKR6EGP (platinium like OEM) or BKR6E (copper)will work. Any major autoparts will carry copper NGK plugs.
http://www.ngk.com/results_app.asp?AAIA=1431488
more on this thread
http://s40concepts.net/forum/i...00201
