ý MADE A NEW GAUGE POD FOR THE PILLAR!

I understood that I would be happy with a pillar pod.

It was a difficult project but the result is good.

I used a standart pillar pod for the base.I cut it and make a mould from the fiber. Then I bought a new pillar cover from the Volvo and worked on the old one.

I made the design, make a mould and covered it with the same cloth.(the most difficult point was to find the matching cloth.)

Hope you like it.

that was a nice setup.

be careful with having gauges on the a-pillar....airbags, etc.

Again Xeno, a most excellent and professional job! Way to go!

BTW, I'm sure that if you sold your dash pod on here in the classifieds you'd definitley find a taker if you wanted to get rid of it. There were many appreciative comments for that one.

Sweet job on the stitching too! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif (you should have used blue to match the steering wheel

No need to worry about it.

Airbag works independent from the pillar. There is a plastic hook connected to the pillar.

When the airbag wants to open itself, that hook is seperated from the base with the power of airbag.

The power is so strong ,it can easily throw the pillar out.

Xeno that's beautiful.

Its just terrible that none of the aftermarket companies take the time to develop something that we can ALL buy!!!

In regards to that actually, I thought the airbag came out of the middle pillar on each side (closest to the the drivers left shoulder) and not the A-pillar...apparently Im wrong tho because everyone seems to freak about the airbag not working properly with gauges on the A-pillar.

Again Xeno...damn fine lookin product
