No cracks, studs included

$80 plus shipping

Major improvement over the N/early RN manifolds. Outflows “R manifold” at higher RPMs. Retains the iconic 5 cylinder burble.

How difficult is removal and install?

Honestly depends on the car.

4 nuts/studs on the turbo.

10 nuts/studs on the exhaust manifold itself.

Trim a p1 single piece exhaust manifold gasket to fit and make your life easy. There’s also manifold to turbo and turbo to downpipe gaskets available now too.

Going to roughly suggest it takes an hour to get the manifold off if everything goes smoothly. Engine side studs usually cooperate, it’s the lower turbo bolts that have the trickiest access.

is this a worthwhile stand alone upgrade for a 2004 2.5t lpt? or is it what i already have?
You have the “r manifold”.

“Japanifold” has a better sound profile and top end than the “R manifold” imho and based off of power figures I’ve seen and are commonly discoverable.

I actually don’t really know how to answer your question tbh. R manifold helps a 14t spool but it’s restrictive and flows less. Japanifold will get you a very nice idle and wide open throttle exhaust note.
