Hello,

I am moving to Europe and cannot take my car with me.

2008 XC90 3.2, 139000 miles.

I took it into a Volvo specialized car shop where they fixed my tire pressure system, oil change, coolant System check, belt replacement, and general check up. just put $750 into it.

They also told me the AWD Disabled Service required Message came up when they plugged the battery back in and turned on the car. I have seen this before on and off for the last four months. They ran some tests and discovered the pump needs to be replaced with a total service of $950.

I’m feeling stuck. I’m selling it in about a month so I’ll be driving the car. I have been driving this car for about 4 months with this AWD Service required message. Is this severe to where it needs to be fixed ASAP? They mentioned it is severe to the health of my car but I am curious if this is a fear statement because plenty of cars drive FWD only.

Thank you!

Personally, I would not touch a car (meaning to buy it) if it displayed such message....if you fix it, how mi h do you hope to get for it?
