oli pressure

Ok So I don't know a lot about cars, 2 months ago my check engine light came on, had it towed to my volvo dealership. Said they replaced the oil & flame trap...$447 later, all is good. Fast forward to today, & I am driving to see my daughter away at school 300 miles away and all systems are good, driving on cruise control 70 mph down the highway when I get a beeping & an alert the says no oil pressure please safely pull over. Pulled over almost immediately (less than a mile to the nearest exit), We pop the hood & oil is spayed everywhere. In fact all the way to the back underneath of my car.
Now, I wondering if this had anything to do with them replacing my "flame & oil trap" 2 months earlier?? Or just a fluke of bad luck? My patience is wearing thin with this volvo.
