Another successful Mod completed on my 2019 XC90! Thanks to everyone on this thread for the parts list, pictures, detailed step-by-step instructions, and tricks like removing the seat out from the back. Before, we had seriously considered an expensive trade-in for the 6-seat version, since getting in and out of the 3rd row was not convenient, especially on road trips. Removing the middle seat opens up the whole cabin and makes it very accessible.
Some more info that might help tool novices like me:
Size of Hex bolts:
2x in front of seat: 11mm
2x in back of seat: 13mm
2x bolts to attach bracket to seat: 10mm
I got this Husky ratchet set from Home Depot, and it had all the socket sizes for the bolts above:
