This question is for Yannis, Max, Bob, Henry or any other guy with access to available VIDA updates.

I was wondering if there was a way to reprogram the HU to fast-forward or rewind faster. My car jumps only 3 to 4 seconds and it takes almost 1 second from jump to jump, which makes FF and REW almost pointless. This is especially bothersome on a stereo that supports MP3's, because in many cases you will store several albums on one CD and each album is one single file. God forbid you want to skip to track # 6! If getting there playing back takes you normally 20 minutes, fast-forwarding takes anywhere from 5 to 10, depending on how many times you stop to see how far you've gone.

Get the ingegrated iPod interface - you can select playlists, songs, artists etc right from the HU & steering wheel controls http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Well, I am. Parts are backordered. But that won't change the fact that the stereo will probably FF and REW in 3-4-3-4 second intervals, whether you're playing from a CD or the iPod.

I too hate the idea of pressing to fast forward a full album in MP3. I am just resigned to listen to it from the begining.

Well, there must be a way to change this. 3 second skips is just ridiculous.

I'm sure it is adjustable on the euro version, but here in America, VCNA thinks we have short, kid-like attention spans that would be confused by skipping more than 3 seconds. Kinda like we're not grown up enough to know when it is safe to use the Nav System.
