Removed resonator and changed to k&N

Couldn't be happier. No noticeable difference in the cabin with the resonator out. Changed the filter to a K&N air filter. Combined the car pulls harder.

Much happier I did this change. Is it a HUGE change, no. Is it noticeable, YES.

You'll want to look up the " JRL Mod". Basically, an exhaust shop cuts the resonator out behind the CAT and installs a straight pipe.

Can't say I noticed any harder pulling with the same (well, BMC filter) setup on my car.

Yeah...I'm not thinking a K&N Filter really gives you much in the way of anything, save for maybe a bit of noise.

I sure love placebo effect, though.

If you go from foam covered stock, to BMC/K&N/J&R and reset ECU, you will notice a non-placebo difference.

Going from non-foam stock to BMC with a stock tune? not sure...
How much was reset of ECU?not sure...

I did have the foam stock filter.

I am going to reset the ECU today and clean the MAF as well.

Whoever had the airbox open before didn't do a good job putting it back together and their was a lot of crap in there. I cleaned it up and blew it out, but I am thinking the MAF is going to be pretty dirty.

MAF will only be dirty if the filter was put back in wrong.

You will have a prematurely dirty filter, but that's what it's there for.
