I'm thinking of putting all my music in the hard drive, but I have no idea how much space is in there. I currently have it on a 128GB usb stick. there are a lot of wav and flac files on it so the whole stick is used up. Does anyone know the hard drive capacity in this car?

The problem is there is no file manager you can use to copy your music.
Best option is a USB C drive.

Most likely the software developers of Volvo+Google don't drive everyday and that is the reason for the bad decisions they took. I. E. Not having android auto is incredible.

It is very strange that Volvo did not leave that option

Hi 3puttjay, I gather that your car may be a later model than mine (you have no vehicle details so who knows?), anyway my car has the older system Sensis and I use a 500GB Samsung SSD through the USB port in the console, works fine for me. I did have to work hard at how to all things showing on the screen (see my other posts re this). Good luck, it's a much easier option than trying to get to the internal hard drive.

The XC60 does not have internal memory that is accessible for music. You'll have to use a USB key or the like instead.

I was just curious to see if it was possible. I have a 2024 XC60 Recharge Plus and I do love this car's get up and go. But I wish they had a paper manual so I could read it instead of scrolling through it in the car. I got the usb stick to work with the car but some files will not play. So another hour or two to resolve that as well.
