Hi there,

Does anyone have any comments / recommendations for a body shop in San Francisco? My 2004 R needs some body work, and I'd prefer to go to someone with Volvo experience.

Some names I got: "San Francisco Body and Paint", "Call Car Collision" "Reliable Auto Body" and "Henry Charles Company".

Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks!
Alex

Hi Alex,

I don't know of any in SF but there's a good one in Berkeley called Huested's. They're a certified Volvo body and paint shop. They always have a lot of Volvos in there. They're on Shattuck and Durant. Ask for Rob Gonzales. You can also ask your dealer who they send work to. They usually have one or two shops they do business with in the area. Good luck!

BTW, are you Armenian?
- interesting question. I'm guessing his screen name caught your eye. I'm half Armenian, actually (mom's side).

Whoa, I'm surprised there is actually Armenians on this forum... and I've been suspicious of "R" Kelly being Armenian also because of his e-mail address... glad to see Armenians on the board. I, myself am full Armenian.

BTW, if you don't mind me asking... what's your other half?

Me too! Other half is Mexican. My dad's family is from Cabo San Lucas. I have some family in Fresno but most of us are up here in the Bay Area.

Family names include Toomajian, Yaglijian and Panosian (not sure if the spelling is correct on this one; it was my great-grandmother's maiden name). I'm 4th generation. My grandmother and mother were both born here.
