Hi guys.
I am looking to buy new winter wheels for my 2017 Polestar.
I want to stick to the ´17-´18 look.
Do you guys know where I can get these wheels online in europe (I live in Iceland so its better for me to get them around here) ?

This is the wheel I am talking about: Winter Wheels
If its a genuine Polestar with 370mm brakes smallest you can go is 19". anything smaller wont clear the brakes
I got mine form Germany CMS 25 on mine. They have the closest offset at ET50

And the original winter wheels are 19"

Do you remember the name of the online shop you got your wheels from ?

Hey guys, I am getting a winter set for my polestar, should I go with 225 or 235 vredstein tire profile? I see some have had rubbing. The wheel the tires would be going on are Sparco DRS's with a 19x8 45 offset. Tirerack states a 235/40 tire. But, should I downsize to 225? Thanks

Congrats on the new ride - post some pics when you get a chance!

You just may be fine with 235/40's on a 8" wide rim. I have 235/40's on 8.5" wide rims with a 45mm offset and get a little rub from time to time but then my particular tire has a wider tread width and section width - not all 235mm tires are the same believe it or not. Tirerack lists the specs for every tire they sell so compare a few 235mm tires. Had I to do it again I would have gotten 8" wheels. Next time around I will probably get 225's.

Thanks Wayne, I definitely will. My question is, will a 45 offset wheel clear the calipers? I want to make sure I don't order from tire rack and then the wheel doesn't clear.

Yes, it should fit if Tirerack says it will fit. One of us on here brought their car over to South Bend 6+ years ago to have it measured just for this purpose so they have all the measurements. Also, realize that a 45 offset wheel is pushed out from the hub from the 53/55 offset of the OEM wheels so that typically isn't a concern as long as you're using 19's. A bigger risk from running a 45 offset wheel is rub on the rear outer fender liner. A 48 would probably be ideal but those are hard to come by but hopefully an 8" wheel will do the trick.

I wanted to put out a feeler for my Winter Wheel setup if anyone is interested.

I ride my bike to work and my Polestar & Corvette sit in the garage. For bad weather I have my Tahoe for the short trip to work.

I've had the setup below for 4 seasons and have put only 10k miles on it in that time. Most of it was visiting my parents in Upstate NY and doing local errands/car shows.
Both the Polestar & Corvette are low mileage, as they are only used for cruising and road trips. I am fortunate in that my work is 0.5 miles from my house.

Wheels: 19x8 MSW Type 48 BLK PAINT
Tires
: 235/40R-19 Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 XL

I had them recently re-balanced and filled with Nitrogen. They have TPMS sensors on them as well. Never any punctures or bubbles. They are ready to go!

Stored in my garage in dedicated wheel/tire storage bags when not in use.

I am located in the Philadelphia / South Jersey area and would be willing to meet up within a reasonable distance.

Below is the setup on my Polestar:

Thanks for looking!

In case any Polestar owners are interested in 4 tires for winter, I am selling my four (4) 235/40R19 Michelin Alpin PA4 tires (only 3,000 miles on them!). See the Tires classifieds forum.
I used these on my 2018 S60 Polestar.

Just a word of caution for anyone looking to source winter wheels from Tirerack. I recently placed an order for a set of 19x8 MSW Wheels + 45mm Offset and while the website showed they would fit, they did NOT clear the front calipers.

Customer service was good in initiating my return, but I was told all winter wheel listings for the v60 Polestar should have been (or will be soon) taken down from the website.

I'm now looking at a pre-owned set of Advanti Hybris wheels in 19x8.5 +45mm in 245/40R19. Has anyone run a similar setup? Any issues with a 245 tire and rubbing in the rear?

Is this for a P3 V60 Polestar or a SPA generation car?

If the former I would think you'd get rub in the rear with the set-up you're describing. I ran 235's and got rub but it's highly dependent on the exact tire you're going to use as tires with the same measurements, ie 245/40R19, will have different tread widths and section widths.

I have a P3 (2018) Polestar.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. Much appreciated

Tires are Michelin X-Ice. They don't have the best review either and if they rub I'll likely pass on them. But, thanks again.
Why are their reviews not good? These tires are phenomenal. I’ve had two sets now. Quite and have some of the highest performance scores in snow/ice. Plus….the only winter tire sold with a tire warranty. They are EXCELLENT, much better than other well known snow tires like Blizzaks.

That would lean me in their direction alone. Mileage warranty is something I always check for (and factor in the selling place's pricing policies...)

Hi All,
I'm new to Volvos, but just scored a 2023 S60 T8 Polestar. It's being shipped to me from the other coast, so I won't have it for a while. I'd like to use it for ski trips to Tahoe, so if possible I'd like to get a winter tire/wheel setup, and a set of chains (as CA requires you to carry chains while travelling in the mountains.) I can't seem to find much information about the 2023 wheels/tires, though I assume they're the same as last year's model? Anyone have any recommendations for wheels/tires that will fit? Same for traction control devices/chains?

I see that Tire Rack has tire/wheel packages for the 2022 VOLVO V60 T8 EAWD POLESTAR HYBRID- Is the 2022 V60 essentially the same as the 2023 S60 as far as wheels/tires?

Thanks!

Congrats!

You should be fine with the '22 V60 Polestar spec wheels/tires for your '23 S60 Polestar.

Thanks, Wayne! Any experience with chains or alternative traction devices on these vehicles?
I don't have any experience with chains or alternative traction devices - sorry.

If you get really good SNOW tires, chains are not needed. I live in the mountains and have never used chains.
Good snow tires are the best insurance for winter driving.
100% agree- I'm coming from an Audi S4 with good SNOW tires, not all-seasons, and I've never had to use chains either. However, California law says that even if you have AWD, you have to carry chains, and if you get stopped without them you can be ticketed (or even turned back at a chain control checkpoint). I used to carry chains that probably wouldn't have even fit my Audi, just to have something to show, but I figure that if I'm going to buy chains it would be good if they actually fit the car and worked. There is an "R3" category in the Sierra that requires chains even on AWD vehicles but I've only encountered it once since they usually shut down the roads before they get to that point.
