In my Porsche you also can’t skip tracks through the steering wheel with CarPlay. Presumably, if it were that easy for Porsche to fix, they would have done so in the last 5 years. But even though they completely redesigned their system, new Porsches have the same problem.
Wow you serious?! Skipping tracks is something we do a million times and I would be utterly mad if I can't do that that in my car.. especially a new one

For info, I got 2.2 over the air today and update went fine, other than car losing GPS signal before telling me an update is available. It happened for 2.1 as well. I think when the car downloads the update, GPS becomes unavailable. It came back after the update is complete on both 2.1 and 2.2.

Regarding the map in driver display shifting left and coming back, that is not a 2.2 bug, I have it since 2.1. I don't think that has anything to do with CarPlay.

Screen turning back after reverse, I had it on my first reverse already, and pushing home button didn't resolve so I unplugged and plugged back the phone.

In addition to the XC, we’ve also got a ‘22 Taycan, and I’ll co-sign - Porsche is a little weird!

There’s a customizable button on the steering wheel we could at least program to a ‘next track’ function, but alas - there’s no ‘previous track’ command [emoji849]

And the customizable button doesn’t work with CarPlay!

Been waiting for carplay since buying our XC60 last October. Went to the dealer last week for an oil change and service, and they updated our software to 2.2 (without CarPlay). So now we have 2.2, and this latest OTA is also 2.2 with CarPlay? Car is saying software is up to date, so I‘m guessing we’re out of luck getting an update for now?

Has anyone had a chance to use CarPlay with the wireless dongle/adapter?
another poster in another forum reported it not working with his existing adapter nor another one he bought after the first one failed. Would love to see more confirmations of this (awaiting 2.2 with carlinkit adapter in hand).

So I get the attached notification in my software update section of the tech interface regarding CarPlay, but it is also telling me my system is up to date with 2.1 so I can’t download 2.2. Anyone else experience this? While I’m eager to download CarPlay just to have it, I’m pretty happy without it. Spotify as my default music source is just fine, and audio texts work fine.

OTA update came through yesterday and updated the software. Apple CarPlay icon appeared and works with the lightning cord. Used it a bit yesterday and was able to use Waze and play music from my Iphone 12. I have a XC60 T8 extended inscription which I purchased in mid May 2022. Screens are a bit funky (some are not sized to fit carplay) but it is much much better than not having Apple CarPlay at all!

Yep, same thing on my car. But as I wrote on the other ver. 2.2 thread here, take it to your dealership to install; don't try doing it yourself, or risk aggravation...
