Maybe some fellow Canucks can try this, but I was trying to set a destination of 75 Scott St, Paris, Ontario and I cannot find it anywhere in the Sensus database. It cannot find Paris, On, and it does not recognize the first half of the postal code N3L. It is the location for the Mary Maxim yarn and craft store. Any suggestions, or where to complain?

Have you tried searching on the mobile app, and then sending the destination to the vehicle? Sensus navigation database depends on whatever is in the storage drive of the Sensus unit (hence the occasional map updates), while I believe the mobile app has access to a more up-to-date and comprehensive database as any mainstream mobile navigation systems do.

The app search function (I think) uses Google maps for its sourcing. So it is a very handy way to put in a nav destination. That being said... When typing the address into the Sensus Nav system, are you using the search function or typing in each field in on the address page? And, if on the address page, make sure to double check that country is set to Canada. (Just have to double check.)

If the map needs updated, you can download the latest to a USB drive and update it.

I should have said that yes, I just did the map update for all of NA. I think I have tried it both ways. It is odd though, if I just type in Paris, it cannot find a whole city. I have used that technique before when I new where I was going once I got there.

I discovered a couple of things. If I search for Scott without Street or Avenue, at least I get some choices. If I search for the city of Paris, still no luck. But, if I go to Destinations and enter the City as Paris, I do get the correct choice. Very odd, this thing. Not as intuitive as my Garmin.

The business model for a hardwired / built in Nav system (like Sensus) is probably less profitable than the GPS-specialized systems (like Garmin), and in turn less than something ubiquitous and app-based like google maps. Given that, I tend to use the Volvo app to do the search (as well as send address based on my calendar that the Volvo app sees) to the Sensus rather than search directly on the Sensus menu; as I previously mentioned.
