Baby car mirror that doesn’t rattle

Any parents have success with certain brand car mirrors to attach to the headrest in the second row in order to see the baby?

I ordered this one because I liked the leather style and how it matched the leather interior but despite it being tightened as much as I can it still had a slight annoying rattle when driving.

Anyone have this specific one and can attest that it works and I’m either installing it wrong or mine is defective. If not, can folks link ones that work well with the vehicle? Thank you.

Diono. Worked in both our XC90 and XC40. It was the only one that didn't make noise and could actually be adjusted to SEE the baby.

This is fantastic thanks for sharing that tip! I’ve had the exact same issue since our kiddo was born a few weeks ago with the skip hop and glad to hear there’s a good alternative

Ok glad it wasn’t just me. Too bad because I like the style way more than the circle one linked above. But I suppose functionality is more important than esthetics.

Agreed! Looking forward to my new rattle free life in the car - I was literally taking it down when my kiddo wasn’t in the car with me due to the noise, like a true psychopath. Glad you brought this up!

We are out of the child mirror phase but used the below one on our 1st gen XC90. It is a Volvo unit and securely attaches to one of the headrest prongs. It all metal construction and does not rattle. Not sure if they still sell this.

Found it online. Do you know if it will install on the headrest of the second row behind the passenger seat or only the center which it says?

From memory, it will attach to any head rest prong. As long as the headrest raises (for height adjustment) it will attach to one of the two prongs.

I just checked our 2017 XC90 and the two outboard 2nd row seat headrests are fixed, so this mirror will not fit on the outboard seats. Only the center seat has height adjustment for the headrest.

Volvo had a really great one but I don't think they make one for the new style headrests in the rear. We still have 2 from our baby days. We used them in our V40 and 2010 XC90. By the time we got our 2017 T8 we weren't using them anymore so I never tried moving them from our V40 to our XC90 T8. I'd need double check to see if they'd work in new XC90. If they do I'll report back if anyone is interested.
