Updates in software version 1.10
  • Improved steering support when Lane Keeping Aid intervenes in a lane with solid lines.
  • Improved sensitivity for Rear Automatic Braking - better object tracking while reversing.
  • Smoother start-up and shutdown sequences for interior and ambient lighting.
  • Revision of the engine control system optimization.

Is this update over the air (OTA)?

I'm scheduled with my Volvo dealer on Wednesday because Rear Automatic Braking is a complete piece of feces in my 2022 V90 Cross Country.

I'm usually pretty patient, as software takes time - I've shipped plenty of stuff that I knew was behind but it's not always easy.
Seeing yet another version without addressing some of the major missing features or major bug fixes (like loosing signal regularly - and yes, I had the TSB handled) is really becoming frustrating.

This was written in the previous version

Note: this software release is only available in workshops, not OTA. The content of V1.9 will be included in the next OTA release.

Had to visit my local dealership in Sweden because im unable to pair my car with Volvo Cars app and they mentioned that 1.10 is planned to become available (to them?) during week 13. They could not answer if that meant OTA availability or only workshop update.

Really weird, I don't understand why then Volvo published on the website 20 days before the version was available

I just received an email this morning saying that the 1.10 update was going out. It indicates that it's an over-the-air update, and gave instructions.

Ugh that e-mail was evil. I thought I was finally getting an OTA update today. I am still stuck on 1.7... Going to the dealer next month for a warranty issue and making sure they do the 1.10 update then.

Got the same email today. Link was broken. Dealer send bulletin. Nothing spectacular.

What is included in the Version 1.10 software?
A series of updates are included, highlights below:
• Improved steering support when Lane Keeping Aid intervenes in a lane with solid lines.
• Improved sensitivity for Rear Automatic Braking - better object tracking while reversing.
• Smoother start-up and shutdown sequences for interior and ambient lighting

and you left it out of the list :
Revision of the engine control system optimization

All this is listed in the link on the Volvo website

I had my car at the dealer for the loss of signal issue and got it back yesterday. It has software version 1.10 now.
Mine is at the dealership bfor the third time for my cameras not working when it's hot as well as the signal loss issue. It was in for the TSB a week or two ago but the prob persisted. They said the antenna unit was warped so they ordered and painted a new one. We shall see. I suspect they'll return it w 1.10 as well.

This is basically what it took to fix mine. They said they ordered a whole new TCAM unit that has the sealed in battery....they claimed it was the battery that was "bad" and failed quickly. They said there were no signs of leaking water into the shark fin antenna housing (which is what the service campaign was about).
So far, seems to work okay.
