Wanted to share my positive experience with leather dye from Seat Doctors.
Volvo C70 Leather Dye - Seat Doctors
An inexpensive and easy fix that made a world of difference on my Cranberry seats - see before and after pics below.

Wow! That's a nice improvement!

wish I had the same results, I got dye from them for my C30 seats, the color was off and it did not absorb into the leather properly.

Pretty impressive results.

I had similar results with the cheap youtube hack method though.

I was skeptical. It looks really scary, but it actually worked! I used it on the leather door panels on my 2000 V70, and then tried it on the seats of my 2009 S80 with similar results.

Don't mean to steal your thread but I've posted this in another post somewhere here. Best product I've ever used in 95 cars owned in almost 60 years. Was on Ebay but could not find. Had Calcite cream for Volvo.

"Painted" you say? What product did you use?

Thanks for that! Our seats in the '13 aren't bad; but a friend is looking at an '08 with Calcite Cream...so I might buy them a gift and use part of it ;)

Any of you use this on the armrests and leather on the door panel?

Didnt feel like making another topic.
Has anyone tried swapping front seats from newer volvos? P3. Just curious because i got this idea for a while.

But then how would you fold the seats to access the back seats? Unless you swap in Polestar 1 seats, there's no newer 2-door model...

Dang it. Didnt think of that, since i havent used back seats ever.
I believe mechanisms arent possible to swap, yes?

Everything is possible, but then it becomes much more than just a simple swap...

The original Bucket seat!!!
Damn, you beat me to it. My first thought!

If people are in this thread for seat refinishing options, here's my very positive experience with cheap materials ( clean and chem wash, sand and fill, paint, seal). $20 extra if you have the scrubbers and cleaning materials on hand. I posted about it here:

There are a lot of ways to skin this cat, just wanted to toss this into the matrix of ideas for people looking for options.

Dang....I got a little tired just READING that!!! Thanks for your hard work and detailed explanation(I just wish you had YouTube'd it!!! ).
Our C70 isn't bad at all; but your tips will come in handy for sure! I mentioned that a friend picked up an '08 and the seats need quite a bit of work(both vehicles are Calcite Cream leather); so we may take advantage of your tutorial. Cheers

Making a YT video is a good idea; I do a lot of DIY and am happy to share but haven't learned how to do that production level efficiently yet. Makes sense as to share more efficiently.

I love the 2nd gen c70; almost bought one at auction a few months ago. Wish they were awd/had the option as for me that is a big deal.I am on the fence between a cherry 1st gen Jag xk8 (like, 1998-2003) or 2nd gen C70 as a convertible for summers here. If you have interior refinish q's feel free to pm me. I also did a lot of interior bits on my (new to me) p80 and also the steering wheel. I think I documented it here, but also a long read. (sorry!)

Here is the thread, look on pgs. 3 and 4 for deets on interior refresh and steering wheel refinish, etc.

As an aside (based on your sig line) I spent some formative years in the late 70s carted around in a 244. Spent too many years fussing about with German cars (beginning with a 2002 and going through ALL the generations); got fed up and did Japanese a while. I didn't get my own volvo until a few years ago but now it is like coming home and I'm happy. ;)

As a second aside, it seems that having failed so miserably for so many decades on leather interiors vs. German and Japanese competitors, Volvo has a new strategy. They have borrowed from the fabled "Vietnam playbook" and decided to just declare victory and retreat. To wit:
