The valve is opened in Dynamic drive mode. It makes a little difference in sound but I suspect the extra opening is for the turbo exhaust to escape with less obstruction
How did you figure that out? I know it's open on cold start. Just based on the sound change it seems to open up in other modes when you get on the throttle. But it's tough to be sure just by guessing. Did you probe it with a test light or something? Is it PWM variable or just switched on/off?

What cars have the exhaust valve? Is this only on redesign trims ? I did not look under but by driving in different modes I did not hear exhaust difference.

Most likely with DHL, or FedEx. I wasn't able to find a dealer in the US, but I've contacted them directly. I'll post the prices if they get back to me.
Appreciate that. I've also checked the bimmer forums, looks like the last U.S. shop stopped offering Bastuck sometime in 2016. Would like to know how their unit sounds. I remember their units do not sound obnoxious at all.

Great info, thanks! I have a feeling their dealer in NJ isn't very active with their products, so i'm trying a different route. If their US dealer is active, they're not doing a very good job. I had never heard of Bastuck as a brand/company until I did some part number searches on Volvo mid-pipes (and I work in the automotive industry myself!).

Why do you think this is a cool option?
With our 2L 4 cylinder engine, the base sound is not very good, and IMHO, there is a danger of the exhaust sounding like a Honda with a cheap exhaust

Initially it reminded me of the custom exhaust system another member here has... but personally I'm going to just delete the muffler

Sounds good hit me with a pm if possible
My friends company received a quote on the exhaust. He's verifying shipping costs to California. Please PM me if you're interested.

I'm debating between getting just the muffler (without flap), or the full system without flap. The only issue with a full system seems to be that it's designed for euro cars which have a petrol particulate filter. I wasn't sure if US S60's also have a petrol particulate filter. That would affect the length of the mid pipes, and would determine if the Euro spec full system is a bolt-on for US cars, or if the mid pipes would need modification to fit a US car. The muffler however is a bolt-on, and requires an adapter they sell to make the larger muffler bolt-on to the stock mid pipe.

Installation for the flap system is overly complicated, and requires splicing into the vehicles rear electrical harness, which I'm not comfortable having done.

Got some goodies in the mail from magnaflow!

I originally wanted to go with flow master FX, but when checking out the price of the shipping to Montreal was almost double the cost of the muffler!! Hope this one does the trick...

The 2017-2018 S/V60 Polestar sounds pretty good with the flapper open on the T6 version of the 2.0 4cyl. One option to consider would be to use Polestar mufflers and resonator and adapt to the SPA platform.
