If I'm looking at the same thing I imagine it would be where the steering wheel cover would separate in the event the airbag inflated.

Here in England I will mainly be buying rubber mats for my in-laws

who plastered my rear footwell XC40 carpets with their muddy walking boots

Regarding the hitch, was this a factory or dealer install option?

We are wanting to get the same thing.

With regards to the steering wheel cover, every XC40 I have seen (and I have seen quite a few) has it.

Done at the Port before it was shipped. Either way, the end result would have been the same.

Similar is: Volvo genuine spare parts, License Plate Frame, Part no: 8640218
The VOLVO on this one is a bit bigger and bolder. It is a black anodized stainless steel, fits all Volvo models, easy installation, comes with hardware.

Yes.
Mine came because I chose the VOLVO Protection Premier package (which included the Rubber Mats and the license plate frame)

Mine also came with the Volvo protection pack (all weather, cargo tray) and instead of that awesome Volvo bracket, the dealer put theirs on it. Did the protection pack actually arrive with that and they swapped it?!

There are two different Protection packages; the regular Protection package does not have the license plate frame as part of it.

Since you ordered the Protection Premier package, then the license plate frame comes with it. Look where the spare tire is or under the cargo tray. Sometimes, they end up there. If not, ask them to get it for you as the car came with it.

Thanks!! I contacted my sales person and he said he has one he can throw on my car. Sounded more like he had several. Maybe they just take them and swap with their bracket hoping no one would notice.
