Does ANYONE know where to still get drip moldings for a p2 R wagon? I ordered through myswedishparts parts and both got damaged in shipping. They said they can't get any more either. I can't believe these parts don't exist anywhere in the world anymore.

I had to pick up a set from a pick-n-pull. Any online source I looked at was out.

Wow have I really been that dense this whole time? I could just use from a base v70 and it's essential the same part?
The only exterior difference between the V70R and a a non-R V70 is the front bumper, rear bumper skirt, headlights, and rear glass (no-wing glass has clear part for 3rd brake light). Everything else is interchangeable.

Called the dealership today and no dice, passenger side available for all models and driver side for none. V70, v70r, xc70, all same deal. This is crazy. Can't seem to find after market either. Wonder what happens if you get in an accident...

It's stupid is what it is. They made so many XCs and v70s 2001-2007 it's amazing they don't have or can't make some.

Not that is really matters since only new passenger sides are available but I'm wanting to replace because the rubber is so destroyed. Going used won't help my case unless it was a car that ever saw the outside for the last 10+ years.

My local shops are now aware of this and carefully pulling them, but they want $$$$ for them as well. I'm shopping because I want to eliminate my roof rack. Anybody with a sonic want to trade? Mine have perfect rubber.

The rubber on my 02xc with 200+k miles on it was fine just the paint was peeling. The replacements I bought from a member here were also fine and the one piece it was missing I picked up from another 2002XC in a junkyard and the rubber on that is also fine.

The parts you need are out there. Just need to look.

I think I'm going to go mining. They're only going to become harder & harder to find.
Then shipping will be the issue when trying to sell...
