I believe Volvo updates Sensus and other software each May/November. I'm coming up on a service interval and want to confirm the date so I can get the update with it. Can someone confirm?

I doubt anyone would know, but if anyone has any info on what the update could include, I'm all ears on that as well.

There is one small update this month. Visible change is now there is "Inscription" banner and then "Intellisafe" banner on driver display when booting up. I doubt they will have big update soon but maybe we'll be lucky. :)

I've always had that since I took delivery of the car in 2016. Doesn't look like it's something new then

Taking delivery of my new 2018 Inscripption this Monday, 30 April.
I will ask the dealer if they will notify me if and when there is a update and if I can get it installed before service is due.

Good luck, they will always say it is up to date even I I picked up car then later I found out I am two versions behind.
Just tell them the head unit keeps rebooting on you.. they won't do a full update on the car unless something is broken.

Ah ok. I kept telling them the head unit freezes and the new update should fix it, they are like no we didn't see that for anyone before and we need to reproduce the issue.

I genuinely do have freezes sometimes, but can't reproduce at the dealer.

Volvo dealers are supposed to preform a "total update" on any car in service for any reason from what my understanding is.

FYI, that diagnostic screen was part of the November update. I bought my XC90 in December and noticed the diagnostic screen on another vehicle I tested. It was not on the one I purchased. The dealer forgot to do the software update before delivery so I had it done when I had P* added at the end of January.

Check out this website: https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support/article?id=b863fc0ad77848b5c0a801515970036d. It appears that there is a minor March update.

I wonder if this means that there won't be a major update coming next month.

Not sure. I sure wish they would include a software update to enable backup collision intervention and an update to make the "auto" climate control actually auto!

LOL, that's just Service 2.0....has nothing to do with Sensus.
Service 2.0 includes a Sensus interface update (the file is from last year, though).
