That's not a solution. I have super dark ceramic tints and the sun on my face still gets really annoying. I also live in CA.
Exactly, my skin literally burns for direct sun even through front 15% tinted windows.. Can't believe we need looks for 3rd party fix for such a simple issue.. Literally every suv has extended visors, not sure what ever security reason volvo decided not to do it, but should have an alternative solution for this issue along with sun glass holder lol. I can't use that small holder under steering feel since it hits my knee when opened and unsafe to open during driving.

I’m guessing you “literally” are misusing the word literally.

Is there anybody with a 3D printer out there that wants to take up the challenge? I'd be a buyer and, guessing from how many here complained already, I would not be the only one :D

I agree it's a huge oversight. Even Chevy has extendable sunvisors. Same problem in my 2015 S60...was hoping Volvo figure it out by the time of my 2018 XC90, unfortunately they didn't.

Today is the first time in 2 weeks that we haven't been breathing in smoke (for now - it's still early, and the winds haven't picked up) - live a few miles from the Thomas Fire borders... few people I know already lost their homes in it..

I got the Visormates Sun Visor Extenders.
Not super elegant, but the color matches pretty well, and I don't really notice them when not in use.
And they work as intended when the sun beams in from that annoying spot beyond the end of the visor.

For the Sunglasses holder, I got the Volvo OEM part that replaces the handle above the drivers door.
Works great.

Thanks, will do the same. Any coupons?

I, too, am disappointed that Volvo doesn't allow the sunvisor to slide rearward when it is next to the driver's side window (in my case, in a V90). Even my 2010 VW Jetta has this feature...with the driver's side having power within the sunvisor for the built-in Homelink and for the on/off switching mechanism for a vanity mirror light.

Due to my long legs, I position the driver's seat very far back. The sunvisor does not block the upper rear area of the driver's window, letting the sun strike the side of my head with full brightness. Having to wear prescription glasses just makes it worse as the sunlight refracts on the edges of the lens in the glasses.

5 x 12

6 x 13

I bought some little black plastic extender thingy with some elastic straps on the internet for this purpose and it does the trick and kinda blends in. It's quite the oversight though that they didn't think this would bother people.
