That is interesting. Maybe they de-tuned the engine a little bit more? Or changed the turbo? Does it still recommend or require premium gasoline-- if they de-tune the engine to let it run on regular gasoline that might be a fair tradeoff for cheapskates like me who hate buying premium gas. Happy I got mine while they still made the 5-seater.

I don't mind buying premium gas, fuel consumption is lower, compensating the higher price.
Of course it depends on the price difference between regular and premium, it may not work for you.
I am also happy to have a 5 seater, I don't think I would have payed 1500€ more for seats never to be used!

Oh, I buy premium gas-- it just bugs me to have to do it. :)

But in other news, Grecian solved the mystery. No grassy knoll shooter, which is kind of disappointing.

From production week 46th due to European emission norms they reduced the hp to meet these norms.
For a T6 they used to state 320hp but after week 46 it's 310hp.
I guess it's the same with the T5.
Generally speaking if someone was to get the higher ratings(till week 46)he should have placed his order in September.

I believe the reduction in power on the gas engines is because of introduction of particle emission filters. (Like they have in the diesels)

The T8's are way below the emission limits for NOx on the EU-cycle, so no need to put in PF in those (from a regulatory point of view).

if you cant afford the extra $350 in prem a year then a luxury vehicle is probably not for you.

I know that you are obsessed with this nonsense about how rich you are and how poor other people are, but please give it a rest.
