After so many blonde interior pictures, this one really blows me.
And it is what I ordered for mine (just not the B&W speakers, should I regret :D)
From Instagram. The color is quite real, from Maroon seats I looked at in person.

And the Fusion Red. I know Maroon interior and red exterior probably are not perfect combination but it is fine to me.

We seems can't get this rim in US. Only the 8 spoke rim is available.

Awesome combo for sure. I always thought Volvo's amber was a bit too orange for my taste, but love the maroon. Also, pretty sure those rims are available in the US. See here:

The rim is not available for Inscription when I looked at US configuration site. Can be ordered through OSD and maybe custom order. Didn't know it looks so good. Anyway, I missed it and not a big deal.

I ordered the same combo (Maroon brown with linear lime) for my Pine Gray T5 Inscription. Cannot wait, looks great. Really loved the look of the blond, but i'm a realist and don't want filthy seats in a month.

AMSven787:
Just because you see it on the rims at a dealer doesn't mean they come with it. Customers commonly ask for upgraded or downgraded wheel sizes, and they'll swap between models on the lot, then charge or deduct the difference. That said, it's listed as a Momentum, and it's an option on the momentum, not the Inscription. Which I'm OK with actually, smaller wheels, smoother queiter the ride. Between the stock 19's and the air suspension, I'm gonna be comfy.

Really like this color. I always assumed amber would be my preference, but this may be even better. Local Volvo dealler has a fusion red with amber on their website, along with two denim blues

Just FYI for others: From the online photos I saw, I, too, was blown away by the "Maroon" as an alternate to Blond or Amber. I would describe the color as I see it in photos as "saddle." However, when I saw it, on an XC60 Momentum, also with Lime wood, I thought in daylight it looked "chocolate brown," To my eyes, disappointing. Maybe a difference in the way it presents in smooth Momentum leather, as opposed to the perforated Inscription/Luxury seating shown in this photo. Either one is nice, but I would advise buyers to see it live in the trim level you are choosing before deciding.

FYI for everyone about the Linear Lime Trim: The US configurator shows that when Linear Lime is selected as an FOC option on Inscription the Console slider is trimmed, as in the photo, with Lime Wood. In Momentum the configurator shows the console slider trim is (IMO cheap-looking) black plastic. However, in the Momentum I recently drove, and all Momentums I have seen in online photos, which are early production, the Momentum Lime option includes the Lime wood console slider. I think the Lime in person is awesome. However, for me, wood on the console makes the difference between paying $500 for the Lime or skipping it. You may want to verify which version your car will get if you order a car.

That denim blue with maroon I posted is a momentum with lime wood. There is lime wood on the console, but the slider is open...which, for us, would likely be 90% of the time since my wife tends to have a drink in the car regularly.

I actually like the chocolate browns too, but agree that saddle is even more desireable. Of course our current XC60 has the two tone off-black/cream interior...never really was sure if "off-black" was really just "super dark brown".

You are right. Pictures of Maroon seats are usually over exposed because the color is so dark. In real eyes the seats indeed look much darker, more like the color shown on configuration site below. (The slide cover is same wood trim in real car.) But anyway, I forget immediately what color it is when I sit in the car when test driving. Your regular passenger probably should have more weight on interior color choices.

And maybe the video above shows better color of the Maroon seats, though could still be darker in human eyes. And Nappa Maroon seats could be brighter than Momentum seats due to the smooth surface and reflection.

Maybe its just me, but I don't think the Maroon Brown leather goes along too well with the Linear Lime Wood. What do you guys think?

Wouldn't have been an issue if the wood trim wasn't forced upon us Canadians who select the brown leather, which Volvo Canada thought it would be a good idea. :(

These two colors are very similar. There is no much contrast. However there are other charcoal colors in the car, so overall it is a two-tone mix. Not bad to me.
The Drift wood light gray seems much more bright and it is very big contrast with the Maroon seats. If you like that kind of contrast it is fine too. I also think over between Linear Lime and Drifted Wood a lot but it is personal preference in the end. Both should be very nice.

This may help some. I obviously found the configuration builder to be misleading with all the colors of leather. And since your dealer is likely to have little to no 2018 XCs in stock, you'll likely have a better chance of seeing a 2018 XC90. As you may know the Maroon Brown is a new 2018 interior option, for both models. Ask your dealer if they have an XC90 with the maroon brown they can show you. Additionally, you'll find a lot more pictures of 90s with maroon brown on dealer websites than of 60s.

That said, I do also believe the nappa leather (package) color is not the exact same as the standard leather color; due to differences in material not the coloring process.

Here are some real life shots of the 2018 XC90 maroon brown.

And for the sake of comparison, some Amber:

In the U.S., whether stateside or OSD, the only alternatives to lime wood trim are F.O.C. Iron Ore, or (if +$4K Inscription is selected) gray driftwood. IMO those alternatives work with Blond or Charcoal, not with Maroon or Amber.

I thought the brown would be more like oxblood - wi5h obvious dark red overtone... it looks like a true saddle brown. Beautiful nonetheless.

Ordered Mussel Blue with blonde and lime. I love the look of the lime...

Am I the only one who read "lime" in the subject and was disappointed not to see a bright green car ;)

Just got an email from dealer... Builds with the linear lime are being kicked back, I guess they ran out of wood. Maroon brown with driftwood would be silly in my opinion. Sigh. No word on when it'll be in stock again.

Was in to see my dealer tonight - my T8 with maroon & linear lime hasn't changed dates. Change cutoff is mid-Sep, scheduled for build in Oct, delivery for 1st week in Dec. Order was placed in July.

Dealer did say he ordered a T6 for someone yesterday by modifying an allotment order not yet past its cutoff date. When he added linear lime the delivery date moved out by 6 weeks.
