Re: Angle Gear Failures by VIN (Military "R")

Can you please clue the clueless as to what exactly is the "angle gear"? Thanks

It is the gearset that drives the propshaft back to the Haldex and rear axle. No angle gear, no RWD

I am 547613 .. I am hoping that this does not become an issue with my R :^

If your angle gear was replaced due soley to leakage/seepage (not a hard failure), select "replaced due to leakage/seepage."

I don't see this option, possibly because I already voted. Perhaps a new poll is needed if there are new options added?

Yeah . . .

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to add a poll choice, only edit or delete existing choices

Where do I find the chassis #?
Travis

It's the last 6 of your VIN.

Re: Angle Gear Failures by VIN (r_driver04)

that's bad news. 3 failures wouldn't that be under lemon law realm?

In Nevada, to qualify under our lemon law it would have to be a new car, in the shop at least 5 times in first 18 months, or in the shop more than 30 days in first 18 months.
