Double post here so...
After reading several messages here, I have decided to contact
volvochicago@live.com and he sure responded quick, within minutes we agreed upon taking my car up to his workshop for an inspection the next day. I talked to him on the phone and he reckon with my car being up in the 200k+ miles, the overheating problem is most likely attributed to the dust/film buildup on the radiator thus causing the fan to overwork.
Here are some of the pictures of the original factory part with the date code.
I ended up having to replace the radiator (volvo part), the fan (german fan), new temp sensor, and he even threw in a thermostat just because he had one laying around! Same Volvo parts, excellent workmanship!
I probably spent more money on this old car than I should but I feel so good about it because everything else on the car are still good, better to keep it as second car or pass it along to family member!
Overall I am very happy with
volvochicago@live.com and will bring my car to him again!
