Having a full inspection report done by Metric Systems tmrw and will post when completed.

The leather seat cover The leather was made by Elwood industries. It had a tear on the Bolster and the lower was discolored when I got the car at 29,xxx miles. The color is a very close match but not perfect / perfect. It's also brand new and the other leather is weathered. I work design and it's up to my visual standards so it's very close.

The actual hide is on his site as he has only done one Atacama hide (mine) .

Depressing to see the Carfax and realize it WAS in the midwest, so impossible to find them around here. Interested to hear about the inspection as well.

great color combo! wish I was in the market for another R! GLWS.

Basically the following:

Will need new disks and pads and tires soon

needs new spark plugs, cabin and fuel filter (perhaps will do this)

new battery (am replacing this tmrw)

angle gear needs resealing

The last one is perplexing as this was done last year when they replaced angle gear sleeve at Tasca Volvo and it should be warrantied (I have a call into them regarding this ).

It's possible they didn't replace the large o-ring which is actually the first thing that leaks. My wife's VR has records of angle gear being resealed at Volvo dealer shortly before we bought it but I saw that angle gear was wet. I looked at list of parts that was used for reseal. The big o-ring was not there. I replaced it without removing the angle gear and it has been dry the last 2 years.

Yeah not sure may take it somewhere else to have a look. Replaced the battery today and may do some more work on it and relist (i.e. brakes etc) .

Sharp color combo. If it was manual .... hmmm

Hi Boston Volvo has the car now. It needed a new right front axle and tie rods, and alignment after changing out the tie rods. The brakes and angle gear are actually fine but there is a small , slow leak from a transmission gasket which I guess isn't a big deal. The other mechanic diagnosed this but I guess I didn't understand his notes (it was never the angle gear).

The new price is 11,000 with this new work. I will not have the car back until the middle of next week. I am going to list it on Autotrader next week.

Thanks!
