Never seen a diesel discussion on here its always manly t5 or petrol's so I have made one .fill free to add your inputs to what you have done to yours?
Exactly how did you do this?I did the EGR blanking mod on my 2.0D
I recommend this mod to everyonebetter throttle-response, keeps pulling without hesitation. only downside is that it takes a bit longer for the engine to get warm. and the smell that comes out of your exhaust is disgusting
Did the mod at around 170.000km (105.000miles) and I now have 270.000km (167.000miles)
Nice to see someone else on this little island.? give us a picHi, from the UK, i have 2011 v50 rdesign D4! I would like to customise it, but other things are needed first! I think they are great motors!
I have a 2006 D5. I put in a K&N panel filter in. Then I had the ecu done and its now gone from 180hp to 220,hp with 450ft torque. Got to say it pulls like a train and has woke the car up. It now pulls in every gear and holds the revs longer, but doesn't drop off like before. Overtaking is effortless. I also put on some lowering sport springs, and it's transformed the handling, cornering and breaking. No diving. Corners flatter, and not crash. The stance looks so much better too. What I was told is that the early cars aren't as easy to tune as the newer ones. Guy said he had to take out certain wires and re do it to get things done. Instead of just using software. Anyone with any views? Are those mods going to make much difference? Thanks guys. This was really interesting!
Was the d5 exhaust bolt on?
Have you removed the dpf?
I also got a 2.0d, but haven't done anything with it yet

Forgot to put in, will a full sports exhaust and intake gain me much more power, and can more be done to ecu?I have a 2006 D5. I put in a K&N panel filter in.
