Possible Remote Start Feature on MY13

General ERS
Remote Start System (ERS - Engine Remote Start) implies
the car's engine can be started remotely with
remote control key. This is to warm up /
cool the cabin before leaving.
The climate control system starts with the same
settings used when the car was parked.
An ERS-started motor is activated for a maximum of
15 minutes, then shut it off. After
2 x ERS-activations requires the engine is started
Retail the way before the ERS can be used again.
Optional ERS-function is only available on cars
with automatic transmission.
NOTE

rules for idling.
WARNING
To remote start the engine the following criteria must be met:
• The car must be under supervision
• People or animals may not be in
car
• The car must not be in an enclosed unventilated
space - the exhaust fumes can seriously
harm humans and animals.

Remote Start the engine
Maximum distance to remote start
engine is about 30 meters in open space - also
the car must be locked.
To remote start the engine:
The first Give a brief press on the remote control
locking button (1).
The second Make right after a long press - at least
2 seconds - the key (2).

If the conditions for ERS is satisfied is
follows:
The first The direction indicators flash rapidly
a few times.
The second The engine starts.
The third The engine starts then verified with
that all direction lights

NOTE
After the remote start the car remains stalled, however,
with disabled alarms.

• remote control button (1) is pressed
• The car is unlocked
• A door opens

• Active ERS-time pass 15 minutes.
When ERS-started the engine off, lights

3 seconds.

In situations where the ERS mode or failure
interrupted, an icon on the dashboard
supplemented by an explanatory message

The procedure for remote starting is described in the 2013 T5 Owner's Manual, but I haven't gotten it to work. I also haven't found anything in the My Car Settings that would affect this.

its a option on the MY12`s but for some reason ( according to my friend that works @ the local dealership ) it keeps getting pushed back.. i had it set for instal & they called & told me about it

I asked about this as adoption for my 2012 S60. The remote start is listed as an option on the Global Volvo website, but not the US. The story from my dealer is that since remote start is not legal in all 50 states, Volvo chooses to not offer it as an option in the US.
