Just got the inspection done, center res still there, but I might get rid of the when I have the $$, but the bracket is fabbed, no rub.. there is a single control arm bushing that needs to be replaced, (warranty) and I premptivily had them change the TQ bushing/mount. slight ratle from A? blower fan, drives me nuts.. I tend to drive with no music, i like the sound of the motors. So any little rattle or squeak drives me batty.. Now I guess its time for the sold cross member mounts. I like that idea.. Mine are new but really soft.

Other than that the car hustles, took my trusted Tech with me on a test drive and he was very impressed, said it was more civil than an S4, or M3. Same feel of Accel on the M3 or the boosted S4..

I'm stoked the car had been driven by an old guy, it looks as clean under as it does in the inside..

My god it picks up speed above 80mph, didn't know how fast I was going and how fast I got there on the hWY yesterday.

So glad to have an R.. now just need to fix center cup holder, and blower motor rattle, and ca bushing and keep feeding her good oil, and better gas..

does adding springs mess withthe 4c system?
I've STFA and I have not found any conclusive results. as well I want to free up the intercooler(s) I know I need to do my research on my motor. but I am looking at an Evelate front bumper with those sexy expanded metal grills..
Thoughts?

Its hot here in the SW and I want as many small helpful mods I can get my hands on.
 
Adding springs will not mess with the 4c chassis system unless you get coilovers. TME, Eibach, and Elevate all make springs for the S60R

PC any common choice? What do you think the best is?

Jexx, Tranny mounts good to go, al other bushings good to go.. checked myself.. pulled the trigger didn't want to wait, got an OEM mount and bushing put in this AM.. Looking to firm up the cross member bushings though?

any thoughts?
 
On the spring question depends how you want to go.. I was gonna go with the heico which are just redone eibachs but with some more RnD from heico but then some evolve springs came my way for a quarter the price so I just went with those.. If I were you I would go withthe eibachs unless you want to go a tad lower go with the elevates... If you just want performance without the drop go with the TMEs.. and then if you want to be different go with the heicos... I think lowenhart has heicos on his car if you want to see those and then a lot of people have the eibachs if you do a search or just rea around and look in peoples sigs and search them see if they have pics..

Green: thanks! I really like the Eibach I have on my Audi, think thats the route I'll go.. IDP sways to match? and where can I find those beefed up end links. Also, ques? Can I run a bigger down pipe without a reflash?

I run Eibachs, the work great with the 4C suspension system on the R. You can see my stance if you click on the link in my sig.
A couple people make end links, I'm running IPD's....

oh man, now an All road, 6sp, is a fast powerful fun ride. go K04, FMIC, Giac that thing will hustle! Just watch the Air ride system it goes out and its bucks$$$

Eibach stance, nice! just the way I want it to look. That and a set of flat black powder coated wheels, some 'winglets' I think they are called.. The chin spoiler set up. Or Maybe and Evelate front bumper when i get my FMIC. and my stage 1 remap..

The maintenance is expensive on an allroad. It's expensive on an R too... They're complicated cars. I'm going to wait for the stock turbos to die on the allroad before doing anything, then it's going straight to stage 3 with RsK04's, manifolds, DP's and a map. In the mean time it's just maintenance. After all, it's her car. ;)

Winglets look nice, you should try to get a complete body kit though, not just one piece or the other. Some people take their winglets off and that just kills me. Then some people run only winglets and I don't like that either. I dunno, for me it's all about flow, the bone stock R setup has a nice groove to it with a lowered stance. A full kit it hot too but the car's gotta be lowered IMO; take care of that stance first. :thumbup:

Forgot to mention this; if you looked at my picture... I'm running 15mm spacers out back and 5mm up front. IMO it's the bare minimum to push the wheels out and balance the car out, otherwise the pegs are way too sunken in, especially in the back.

I hear ya on the AR, I was a service advisor for a Euro car repair center.. Some of the AR that I have see and worked on cost major bucks to up keep.. as long as you dont beat on them they do last.
 
IPD sways a must.. But as as endlinks I'm not a total fan of the IPD endlinks.. I may change them out for the tki motorsports endlinks at some point.. I hear good things about those but think they just have the fronts available... So the rears IPD.. Just my IPD links keep coming loose some how...

This caR is awesome, so much fun. Just had a tiff with a Z3 with an M3 motor, drivetrain, exhaust in it.. Smoked him.. FYI the Z3M3 thing, is something the Euro Shop did for the customer when I worked there.. Should have been super fast... Not so much..

Tiniest brakes too..

After that I really want a software upgrade.. What fun this would be with an extra 30lbs of TQ and no limiter on first and 2nd.. And no speed limiter.
