Weiterstadt/Cologne. As the Essen Motor Show opens its portals for the 40th time this year from Dec. 1 to Dec. 9, HEICO SPORTIV and Volvo Car Germany will be hosting their first common trade fair appearance and visualizing their joint venture scheduled to start Jan. 1, 2008.

"It has always been our aspiration to obtain manufacturer recognition and acceptance", explains HEICO SPORTIV general manager, Holger Hedtke, adding "We're proud we can now also impart this officially to our customers under the headline HEICO SPORTIV: recommended by Volvo Car Germany".

Win-win situation
A partnership that will be of particular benefit to interested clientele. With all of HEICO SPORTIV's 350-plus products being available from Volvo Germany's authorized dealership network, an all-inclusive service - ranging from consulting and sales & service to full guarantee coverage and handling - will be available.

"Tuning expert HEICO SPORTIV is a professional, Volvo-approved supplier of sports accessories that optimally complement and supplement our product range in the area of high quality vehicle individualization. The Essen Motor Show is an excellent venue for addressing Volvo and other customers particularly interested in sports accessories. That's why we're supporting HEICO SPORTIV and are committed to ensuring a presence worthy of both our brand and the exposition", says Thomas Viehweg, chief executive of Volvo Car Germany GmbH.

Four models, one heading: Exclusive Accessories for Volvo C30, V50, V70 and XC90. World premiere for HEICO HS7.
The HEICO HS7, based on the new Volvo V70 T6, is fitted with electronically controlled all-wheel drive (AWD with Instant TractionTM) and six gear automatic drive with Geartronic function. With HEICO SPORTIV tuning, Volvo's newly developed 3.0 liter 6-cylinder in-line turbo engine develops 243 kW (330 bhp) at 5600 rpm and accelerates the station wagon to 100 km/h (62.5 mph) in just 6.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h (156 mph).

Extrovert exterior
Optical similarities with the Volvo S80 High Performance Concept recently unveiled at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas are intended, no question. The HEICO HS7 also has a re-designed front grill, a well-defined front skirt with more conspicuous spoiler flaps, enlarged air vents and a better dimensioned charge air cooling system.

The modified rear skirt of the HEICO HS7 now perfectly surrounds the four round tailpipes, giving an overall impression of a harmonious and perfectly designed tour de force from every perspec-tive. The corresponding stainless steel exhaust system starts behind the catalytic converter, improves the responsiveness of the engine and provides for a pleasingly sonorous engine sound.

HEICO SPORTIV places emphasis on stylish details in the high quality interior: pedals, foot rest and door pins finished in aluminium, with the stainless steel HEICO SPORTIV entry-strip logos being illuminated in an exquisite blue tone when the doors are opened.

World premiere for the new VOLUTION® designer wheels
A specially developed sports suspension combined with the first ever forged wheel from HEICO SPORTIV provide for agile driving characteristics. In contrast to a standard cast wheel, the VOLU-TION® X. 9x20'' ET43 offers 15% weight reduction, thereby significantly reducing the non-sprung mass and enhancing the driving experience.

The new VOLUTION® X. 8x19'' ET45 sport alloy wheel also presents itself in a tasteful 10-spoke design, echoing the immediately recognizable form of the VOLUTION® X. design series. For the first time, this variant is available in three different, high grade surface coatings: "Bright Silver", "Titan" or "Black Diamond Cut". In this version, the light metal wheel is black with only the diamond-cut rim flange in aluminium.

Orange County. The HEICO HS3.
The next exhibit is also an extravert in its own right: the HEICO HS3 T5 which was unveiled at SEMA will for the first time be on view to the German public. An exciting exterior surf design, a full orange leather interior and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds are the most prominent features of this compacts sports car.

Power increase to 191 kW (260 bhp), bodykit with syntonic four pipe stainless steel exhaust system, alu-minium applications in the interior, differential lock, four piston sports brake system, sports suspension and new 8x19" VOLUTION® X. Titan sport alloy wheels with Continental 235/35 R19 tires transform the HEICO HS3 into a compelling, integrated entity.

"The sporty and striking personality of the unadorned Volvo C30 makes this model the ideal tuning object; our vehicle shows impressively how the Volvo C30 can be adapted to the unique personal style of its owner," says Holger Hedtke.

Accessories for every model series. The HEICO HS5.
2008 will also entail a facelift for the Volvo V50 model, where HEICO SPORTIV is redesigning the front spoiler and front grill, and providing the HEICO HS5 with a dynamic outfit. Twin pipe stainless steel exhaust system, aluminium interior applications, four piston sports brake system, sports suspension and new 8x19" VOLUTION® X. Black Diamond Cut sport alloy wheels with Continental 235/35 R19 tires again exhibit the portfolio of individualization possibilities.

Family type in designer dress. The HEICO HS9.
Alone the space and design of the Volvo XC90 D5-based HEICO HS9 are enough to convince even the most sceptical. 155 kW (210 PS) and a maximum torque of 460 Nm accelerate the SUV to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 203 km/h (127 mph). Prominent exterior design features include the front grill and the 6-part bodykit made out of a shatter-proof polyurethane-plastic (PUR-RIM) for the front and rear, while the interior is dominated by various aluminium applications. A four pipe exhaust system, 8.5x20" VOLUTION® V. Titan sport alloy wheels with Continental 275/40 R20 tires, a six piston sports brake system and sports suspension round off the HS9.

The World of HEICO
Besides the four road exhibits, HEICO SPORTIV will also be presenting two racing cars in the "Motor Sports Mile". With the HEICO HS4 ODIN, the team won for the first time with a bio-ethanol-powered vehicle the Nürburgring 6h Race in the class for alternative fuels.

What's more: this vehicle will also shortly be available from HEICO SPORTIV as a detailed 1:43 model for the living room showcase.

Back to the world of full-scaled vehicles, the Volvo 240 brings back memories of the "good ol' days", and memories of Volvo's sporting successes in DTM and European Touring Car Champion-ships in the mid-80s. Today, the Group A touringcar painstakingly restored by HEICO SPORTIV is sporadically entered in youngtimer races.
