2007+ XC90 Gets ERST Treatment

The Japanese market is fond of Volvo. In fact, the enthusiast market is so strong there that several domestic Volvo tuning houses can exist quite successfully. Case in point is ERST, a company that focuses on Volvo and almost exclusively on wagons from the Swedish manufacturer. We say almost exclusively, as the Japanese firm has recently released photos of their latest package for the recently facelifted XC90.

The ERST XC90 treatment includes front and rear underpanel attachments to toughen up the look of the big Volvo – a dash of MechWarrior in the visual feel, with ribbed aluminum and exposed fasteners to scare off the other soccer moms. Wider fender flares also give the XC90 a more muscular look, while the company also follows Volvo’s move toward more chrome with mirrored foglight splitters as well.

ERST also adds its S10 wheel design and a lowered suspension – the latter that will be available soon.

The overall look is handsome, though there’s always a downside. Like most Japanese-sourced aftermarket parts, the American dollar is weak versus the Yen, resulting in prices that tend to be higher.
