LEXINGTON, OHIO (August 4, 2013) – The K-PAX Racing team traveled to Lexington, Ohio for Rounds 11 and 12 of the Pirelli World Challenge race series. The race was part of the Honda Indy 200 race weekend held at the 2.26 mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Figge and Pobst qualified first and second in their K-PAX Racing Volvo S60s for both Saturday’s and Sunday’s race. Figge set a new qualifying time for race one and led flag to flag in both races.
Figge said, “Ive just got to thank the crew to no end. It’s been a tuff season and those guys kept their heads up and gave me a car I could drive hard the whole race. Randy was a big help too, keeping some of the heat off. Just a great weekend for the crew and the Volvos.” It is Figge’s third win of the season.
The Honda Indy 200 was the eleventh and twelfth of the scheduled fourteen races. The next venue is the Sonoma Grand Prix August 23 thru 25 for Round 13.
